Certificates and Ratings Prerequisites

Private Pilot Certificate

• FAA 3rd Class Medical / Student Pilot Certificate
• Written test completed with a 70% or greater through a Home Study Program

Instrument Rating

• Rated / Current / Proficient Private Pilot, (i.e.  current bi-annual and  Medical Certificate)
• Written Exam Completed with a 70% or greater through a Home Study Program
• 50 hours of Cross Country PIC Time Complied per FAR 61.65 and Verified by Chief Pilot

For Non-Glass experienced pilots (Transition Training Required)

• 10 hrs dual (Familiarization. Course) in Frasca SR20 Flight Training Dvice.

For recent Glass experienced pilots (No Transition Training Required)

Commercial Pilot Certificate

• Rated / Current / Proficient Private Pilot with Instrument Rating
• Written Exam completed with a 70% or greater through a Home Study Program
• 230 hrs of Total Time (Minimum)

All Commercial Cross-country Time and Night Flight requirements must be met per FAR 61.129

Multi-Engine  Add-On

• Rated / Current / Proficient Private or Commercial Pilot
• Aircraft Operations and Procedures Written Exam completed
• Administered by the Chief Pilot or assigned Flight Instructor

Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)

• Rated / Current / Proficient Commercial Pilot
• Written Exam completed with a 70% or greater through a Home Study Program
• Lesson Plans completed and reviewed by Chief Pilot or assigned Flight Instructor

Instrument flight instructor (CFII)

• Rated / Current / Proficient CFI
• Written Exam Completed with a 70% or greater through a Home Study Program
• Lesson Plans completed and reviewed by Chief Pilot or assigned Flight Instructor

Multi Engine Instructor (MEI)

• Rated / Current / Proficient Commercial Pilot (MEI Initial) or CFI (MEI Add-on)
• Lesson Plans completed and reviewed by Chief Pilot or assigned Flight Instructor

Ongoing Training

• Biannual flight reviews
• Instrument Proficiency Checks
• Instrument Training for the VFR Pilot
• New Equipement Training
• Customized recurrent training packages to meet your specific needs for the type of flying you do
• Glass Cockpit Transition Training
• Introduction to basic flying skills for your frequent flyer passenger.
