The CAA offers several options for completing your Professional Pilot AAS degree. You can choose to complete your flight training over a two year period while concurrently completing the general education requirements. Another option is to concentrate on the aviation content of the degree completeing all aviation classes and flight training in the first year, saving the general education courses for the second year. With the accelerated track, a good option is to add on the Certified Flight Instructor ratings and begin gaining experience as a professional pilot flight instructing while you finish the second year of your studies.
If you find your first flying job away from the LSC campus, you can complete the general education requirements completely online from wherver your flying career takes you! Another approach is to complete the general education requirements during the first year and complete the aviation courses and flight training the second year. This also works well as an option for students transferring into the program from a different area of study or those with prior college level studies.
We also have the ability to tailor your flight training schedule to fit your needs and availability. We understand the non-traditional student and will do what we can to help you be successful in your aviation endeavors!
